Hykem already said it has its own exploit that's separate from the existing ones, and that's part of why it was taking so long, he wanted to make sure it was instantly ready to work with 5.4 and 5.5 too.

Now he's on a hiatus investigating a boot level hack that would open the system up even more.

idk if it's been brought up yet, but this update fixed both sets of libstagefright vulns. i know a lot of people were using those for their browser entrypoints. no clue what hykem uses for his, though.

Debating on whether I wanted to go along and join the Wii U Scene, and I guess Nintendo decided to give me that push by releasing 5.5.1, and my Wii U decided to give me a push back and not update yet.

Geez, lose eShop access, or homebrew and that kind of stuff...

or maybe limit the compatibility up to 5.5 only, so 5.5.1 will have a non usable IOSU exploit until someone release a userland exploit for it , just like the PPC kernel exploit for 5.4 users
