Thanks so much forthe help guys. I appreciate it! - so I don't exactly have access to my router... assuming there's no third party application or anything to achieve similar results? - this is going to be fun haha! - maybe someone will port the exploit to an already-existing entry point, like Smash? Or correct me if I'm wrong, but mii maker? I get way nervous using online haha
TubeHax DNS. You can find it in the OpenDNS tutorial in my signature, I don't recommend actually following my tutorial past just getting the DNS IP though if you don't know whether or not you have a dynamic IP address

W-what!? It says you have to follow him to see his tweets!

Wait, is the hack out yet!? I see people talking like it's already out! Or are they referring to the 5.3.2 hack?

What?

ok, first, we DO need to follow him to see his tweets.

and no, no hack is out. It's about the spoof applied on 5.3.2

Sweet

And this should help? So it won't update? Thanks man B)

@Thirty3Three

These are suggested to be added as well:

  • c.shop.nintendowifi.net
  • cbvc.cdn.nintendo.net
  • cbvc.nintendo.net
This article is more up to date than the other one posted and has a lot more info as well. I strongly suggest it:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-definitive-guide-to-wii-u-hacking.396828/

and you need to change your DNS on your Wii U to the tubehax DNS.
Set up TubeHax DNS on your Wii U:
1. Go to Wii U Menu/System Settings/Internet/Connect to the Internet
2. Input your router's SSID and password (typically WPA2-PSK AES)
3. Input settings as follows:
IP Address: Auto-obtain
DNS: Don't Auto-obtain
Primary DNS: 107.211.140.065 (TubeHax DNS)
Note: This will leave you unable to access YouTube
Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0
Note: This should make your Wii U fail to connect to the internet if TubeHax fails, though it's not confirmed.

I've just checked my router, your suggested domains are already blocked but still got the update.

Maybe it was may bad, because I visited the eShop, because I've thought I'm on the safe side with the blocked domains.

I've started eShop, got the notification that there is a new update with the options 'download' and 'cancel', pressed cancel, checked the download section and saw the update was already downloaded. I dunno..

Am I allowed to visit the eShop even with blocked domains?

Why didn't you use TubeHax?

And no, you can't eShop.

Because people said, blocking the domains in the router settings would be enough. Looks like it wasn't.

Now I've set up tubehax, and I'm not able to connect to the eShop or play Bayonetta 2 online. Looks like now the servers are really blocked.

For sure, it's too late now, because my wii u already updated. Nevermind, there is still a bit hope.

Playing online is still possible even with tubehax set as your dns server. Check the stuff you blocked in your router. Most likely something there is blocking online play.

Is it possible to visit the eShop with tubehax? Right now (after tubehax setup) it's blocked, did something went wrong or is this behavior correct?

There are a few more domains to block - just sayin.
I don't know them because I keep my Wii offline.

Safest way for an online Wii is tubehax + all domains blocked.

Nope, the eshop is blocked. It's possible to access it through NUSgrabber tho on a spoofed firware.
