What features more could you want in a media service? Streaming video and music is about as good as it can get from my viewpoint. I see emulator support for Kodi, but why have that when we could have emuNAND, or even better, use emuNAND on your vWii for those titles. Youtube/Netflix add-ons? Use the Wii channels again.

I never said no one will be interested in porting Kodi, I was just giving you another avenue to investigate. On that note though, I do see Kodi uses the client to trans-code video, and with the WiiU clocking in at 1.2Ghz CPU and 2GB RAM I think I'd rather have some more horsepower in that regard.
Alternative media support (USB HDD, BluRay disk)

Watch .mkv videos will be awesome!
Make WIIU to do everything what Nintendo doesn't allow is like you Jailbreak your Iphone, new life and news possibilities!
PS4 for example is different, you already can play music, videos, images, etc.

Yeah, saw you took it to that thread there, not sure what's your point
The point is that this thread is about hykems 5.5 iosu exploit

BTW, same goes for the media/player server discussion, open a new thread or find one that discusses that topic.

So guys what homebrew are you excited for once Hykem releases his exploit?
None... I wanna play some free games, I'm being honest and don't give a damn.

Edit....

I want to play some games for 5 minutes that I would of never spent money on in the first place is what I meant to say.

So stealing is awesome, gotcha!
Actually, piracy isn't stealing, it's copyright infringement. It's illegal, but so is jaywalking, and not coming to a full stop at stop signs. That doesn't mean jaywalking is stealing.

"But you're depriving people of money!" Well, sure, but I could also go to my friend's house and play a game that he legally bought. In this scenario, neither of us have done anything illegal, and yet the developer was deprived of the same amount of money as if I pirated it. The only difference is no illegal copy was made. That is the crime, and why it is copyright infringement.

You can also make legal copies of software you own.

A pirate hat and a missing eye. Patch optional.

Actually, there is an interesting theory that pirates would wear an eye-patch to light blind one eye so when they jumped onto another ship, they could go below deck, switch the eyepatch eye, and not be blind and vulnerable while killing the other people below deck!

Making a copy of your own game is way different than downloading it for free

Heard that theory too

I have heard that before as well, I think it is fact!

I mean come on, free games?
Dude, you're not serious.

It depends how you think. If you only think that you will do piracy once your Wii U is released, then you have no respect for video games, and you are a horrible person. If you want to try some new games you are not sure of buying, but you keep buying games you are eagerly waiting for, then yes, you deserve that exploit.

If everyone does piracy, then video games will cease to exist in a mere months. Think about that.

I love the fact that I can try some new games, which I would never buy otherwise, but I bought a Wii U two months ago, and I already bought Xenoblade Chronicles X and Splatoon. And i'll keep encouraging industry in that sense.

Considering Wii isn't selling well having the exploit opening doors for piracy is gonna hit hard on Nintendo

I just hope piracy doesn't give the Wii U even harder times, it will be a shame that Zelda U gets massively pirated and doesn't sell well because of that reason.

That is impossible. There isn't any Nintendo console that will go down because it is pirated. Simply because Mario. Because Zelda. Those two names support the whole Nintendo industry. On the other hand, if the other game devs don't make an effort in doing games, the system can probably die because it doesn't sell well. But there are two many Zelda and Mario fans that will buy the game anyway.
