Ok, I see your point. But what about after the exploits release?
well if the exploit can do everything then yeah it would be okay but even after exploit is released for quite some time you wont have usable homebrew.

It will have to be ported to each fw, meaning less waiting the lower you are (assuming Hykem doesn't just put it all out at once)
If you mean after everything is out, 5.4 and 5.3.2 are closer in structure (not just numbers lol) meaning more opportunities for the same homebrew, or maybe easier ports, I can't know for sure. It's easy to spoof to any future fw, so stay low as new opportunities could come up at any time.
ex. Before Hykem's 5.5.0 IOSU, new IOSU exploits were found in <2.0.0

Ah ok. Gotcha. Thanks.

LATEST NEWS: IOSU Exploit for 2.0.0 to 5.5.0 expected around Christmas/New Years. Stay on whatever FW you are on for now and use TubeHax DNS to block updates!
Y'know, in case you forgot.

And stay where you are

I have my Wii U disconnected from the Internet altogether, mainly because my Wii U had a terrible connection to my router to the point where most of the time I'd just get "Unable to find a Wi-Fi network". I hope Internet isn't required to use the IOSU exploit.

Well, the only thing that you will need to use with this IOSU Exploit is the Internet Browser on the console, so you probably will need connection to the Internet if you ask me.

Yes and No. I believe it'll be a browser exploit that needs a payload on your SD or something like that. You'd need to connect to the internet to activate it in the first place.
OR
You can disconnect your modem (so you don't risk an internet connection) and host it locally. You'll still need a wifi connection either way, unfortunately. No internet, just a connection to the router.

If you host it locally, can't you use a Wifi SD card to host it completely offline? I'm sure someone will allow for that payload to be loaded from such SD card in the future.

If i'm understanding your post, no. The SD card holds the data the Wii U will load, but the webkit exploit is triggered by the page you must visit to load the contents of the SD.

So either host it locally, use the internet, or hope Hykem or someone else has a userspace exploit that doesn't use webkit.

yea, wifi sd cards serve a webpage lol. so yes, you can use a wifi sd card and host the exploit without it ever being able to touch the internet, ever, at all.

Loadiine works by loading games from the SD card, and as far as i now the wifi thing works fine with the games too. So I dont see a reason it shouldnt be possible. I'm not saying it will be that way though, Im not making it. but possible, id say yes.

Oh, I didn't know wifi SD cards could host a webpage. I'm not really clear how they work :/
