Your Wii U is compatible with the exploit as far as I've seen. Just block nintendo updates with your method of choice and stay put on 5.5.1. There will be some time before Hykem releases the IOSU exploit, and then additional time for a developer to port Loadiine (or develop a new backup launcher) after the IOSU release. Expect to wait for a while but hope for the best.

EDIT: Read 5.1.1 as 5.5.1, whoops. If you want to get started now, buy a disc that has 5.3.2 on it and go ahead!

Nope, my family all use the wifi and I wouldnt want to inconvenience them and the wifi reaches everywhere in the house. I can just wait until nobody is here and unplug the router but I want to check if it's really necessary first

I think the idea behind it ( from my understanding) Is that it's suppose to be a funnel. The logic being that all the stupid get's posted here, all menial post and opinions are to be posted here regarding whatever. Thus preventing the possible slew of threads that would be made afterwards.

So in short this thread is an attempt to deter nonsense and crap away from the general forum as well as that Hacking WiiU 101 thread that is 800 pages.

THus in short, with the constant influx of post and jerks and whatnot this thread is fulfilling it's destiny by providing a forum for it. In GBATemp terms it's like an Edge_Of_WiiU thread. Where you're encouraged to say asinine jerk things thus saving the forum and that other massive thread for whatever might be posted.

To put it in short don't close the thread embrace it, with with stupid hashtags, chat logs, and whatever bickering and what have you. Don't think that this thread will be the place to get the low down on whatever. Look forward to a new thread being made and hopefully it will not fill up in pages and just be stickied. In the mean time, ignore this thread unless you like screwing around.

It also kinda sucks when your WiiU is off power with tubehax enabled since Christmas because of waiting for this.

Has it been confirmed that Yellow's .MP4 exploit will be able to access IOSU using Hykem's payload or whatever? As long as I can get an EmuNAND installed no matter what SysNAND I'm on, I don't care.

But in the meantime, I'm still on 5.5.0, but I'd like to update to use the eShop, and I've had issues with OpenDNS so I use TubeHax, despite my console being unplugged from the wall.

I don't get this thread, like what is on topic that isn't "when is it coming" or "can I do X with it" or "Why Hykem lazy!11!"? It's a thread for an unreleased exploit that we know little about other than it works on everything >= 5.3.2 and it's coming before the end of February. This thread is kinda unnecessary tbh. The opening post should've been titled "ISOU exploit" or something and then stickied with locked replies. We have a Wii U Hacking and Homebrew Discussion, 5.4 progress, 5.5 progress and this.

Can I say something without it getting too off-topic? If you see someone insulting someone (like what happened to Hykem) or just plain ****posting, just hit the report button. Simple as that. Even though the mods are incredibly stressed out, its still the right thing to do so we can make this a better place for everyone and not have it be something like 4chan. That's why we have the edge of the forum in the first place.

So, try and help out the mods as best as you can. Every little thing helps .
