I've heard from those on the inside that it's just more stable. How it is, I'm not sure. I think it has to do with the browser itself being updated and that they may have to use different entrypoints, but I can't say for sure.

Understandable. Thanks for the reply.

i just hope this thing isn't able to be patched up before zelda is released

the only real reason i would ever consider buying one ,
post yfw the console is hacked wide open before it even had a real zelda title released

lol patching. Since emuNAND can be a thing, patching is, at this point, the least of our worries.

well they locked down emunand on N3ds , although we still have 100% compatibility with cryptofixing
but who knows what is possible for wii u , i don't know enough about wii u security

Since IOSU is coming next week (hopefully), and apps will be ported there to 5.5.0, would it be good to update now? I'm on 5.4.0 and I want to play online/homebrew/etc. I can't do nothing atm

The flaw itself [naehrwert's] was patched after 5.2.0, so, the general rule applies, if you're on a low firmware already, don't update. If you have already updated then don't worry about it.
You're not missing out anything if you [have already] updated your console, this is just a warning for those who still are on a low firmware version. By not updating you will have access to more attack vectors in the future.

The greatest thing in the wold would be if he just suddenly dropped on us, with no warning. :D (Ofc I know the odds of that happening are against me, but a man can dream right)

Anyway, super hyped for this too utilize with Cafiine and Loadiine

No. It's pushed back to next week to clean up 5.4 and 5.5 support.

Cool beans. That should give me time to setup a way to block updates without losing YouTube support. The little one would flip out if she lost access to Sesame Street lol. Can't wait to hack Wii U mode :D

I've been too hesitant to exploit my Wii U at all, especially since I don't want to lose my ability to play games online- I just keep my actual wii for all my modding.

But man if I can play gamecube games at 1080p, I'm so sold.

1080p upscaled*
And since when does an exploit remove online? Just spoof to 5.5.0.

They changed the manual app? What did they do?

Crediar and I fiddled with it a bit, but we don't know -exactly- what was changed, just that it DID change and that's why 5.3.2 to 5.5 Spoofed Eshop/Ticket Installer users can't get the Mario Maker manual to open.
