even though the homebrew channel still works. most of the compatibility with homebrew is lost along with the ability to run backups. your friend should downgrade to 3.2. search for the softmii pack, it has everything you will need.

It's not hybrid, it's v3.4, homebrew channel still works on that version.

Seriously Lex, there aint no hybrid firmware. slaphappygamer said the truth, but he's a wee bit wrong.

Backups run fine, but scrubbed or trucha-signed disc do not.

So, downgrade.
