Hacking [HOWTO] Use OOT Exploit on SKY3DS/Non Working Carts

Anyone figure out how to move the emunand install on the n3ds to a larger sd card? emunand tool doesn't seem to work with the n3ds.

Here's a tip:
In Nand, create a folder named "N" or something, then create another in emuNand named "E" or something. Now you can tell which one is which! If it ain't enough, give a theme to ur emuNand.

One thing I just found out, the Theme idea doesn't work.
It uses the same theme in both emuNAND and normal mode.

The Folder idea is spot-on!

Were you able to see the GW on a smaller card?
I tried as small as a 4GB and the emuNAND was running, but no GW3D..

is your microsd card over 16gb? if it is then it wont display GW3D next to the version. its a bug.

Thanks for the response, I saw the thread. I guess I'll be waiting till they fix this bug. Look like it jumps into sysnand before settings finishes loading (possibly). So I'll lay low on that till I hear otherwise.

yeah gw3d shows up every time in emunand on the 4gb card.

No, you can use the Sky and the files from this thread.
You might want to pick up a Micro SD Card or two, some of them don't seem to work.

First, you put the appropriate files into ur N3DS's onboard mSD, meaning the gateway launcher and other stuff. Then you set up ur sky3ds which the instructions are shown on the first page of this thread. Then you just execute the exploit and presto.
I haven't received my QQ3DS yet, so I ain't too sure about the exact details.

It seems at least with my cart that booting into gateway via OOT is quite buggy and sometimes takes several attempts but it eventually works. There's something rattling around my inside sky cart as well but anyway, I'm just glad this works, thanks again sonic!

i made it easy to tell which nand i was in by de-syncing my sys/emunand. i formatted emunand, copied all of everything off the internal sdcard, then did a system format. after the system format i replaced all the files on the sdcard. when i was done i set the theme for my sysnand to red and my emunand to blue and made named folders to spell them out. i then set wifi only on emunand settings and updated.

Can anyone confirm that making an exact image of the emunand and transferring it to a larger sd card does solve the missing GW3D bug?

What is this unlinking that you speak of!
When I formatted the internal msd through the gateway menu, it created the partition for the emunand, wouldn't everything run off that once I can run GW emunand?
I'm about to update the emunand so this 'unlinking' is making me nervous...
I was able to differentiate between the GW emunand's settings to sysnand settings by changing the username - this confirms which nand's settings I'm in even though the fw still says 8.1J without the GW prefix.

Thats supposed to be the LGC-ROM (EU)

I get only the corrupted savefile message. Doesn't matter which µSD/Slot etc.

Please provide your working ROM with CRC32. (Rar it with Winrar and the CRC32 stands on the right half of the windows when you open the file with winrar)
