Hacking [HOWTO] Use OOT Exploit on SKY3DS/Non Working Carts

I want to dump a legit rom and don't have a gateway cartridge, but do have sky. After reading most of this thread I believe I'll be able to get into the gateway menu using sky, right? Will I be able to dump a legit rom as well?

Don't think so..... should be running the exploit... perhaps running the rom on GW?

You'll have to run exploit again to get to GW menu.

oh... what the... tried with the duowan save file for jpn OoT.
After waiting 5-10 sec and then the white screen for a few seconds, gateway logo popped up!

So to confirm that's gateway running on my 8.1 JP fw N3DS, no need to update to 9.2

I know I don't... Not sure why it isn't showing up, SD card was even renamed to "Gatewaynand".

Here's a tip:
In Nand, create a folder named "N" or something, then create another in emuNand named "E" or something. Now you can tell which one is which! If it ain't enough, give a theme to ur emuNand.

Thanks, Did they stop adding GW3D to the version number with this update. Or is this just a bug with some ppl not seeing the gw3d even though emunand is running?

ahh, no I don't see gw3d
I did move the folders around to make sure I know when I'm in emunand.
...but this is poop, I can't get the multi rom menu to pop up. Its still the select button to trigger it right?

Sonic, you are the MASTER!!!! Worked with no problems. Gateway on the other hand, had a Issue. If you are trying to use 3D and you notice it is crappy, just close the Lid, wait about 5-10 Seconds, then open it back up. Should be looking perfect now.
Also, if you want to install your CIA Converted Games, I read on the GW MaxConsole Page that one guy had Issues with the BigBlueMenu. Dont know what he was using, but I have used the one that comes up as Title Manager and I have not had any problems so far. Installed 6 Games and so far so good.
Should def Pin this Thread so everyone knows where to look. Def a better option as opposed to spending ridiculous amounts for a Game you are not going to use. Last I checked, for a PAL Copy of OoT, one was $63, and another was selling for $100.

I used usahotstuff and got a qq, came with the extra ds mode card. Can confirm that qq3ds works with this hack.

is your microsd card over 16gb? if it is then it wont display GW3D next to the version. its a bug.

Ok can't get GW mode to run properly, its like its not powering the cart slot at all - GW cart, retail, and Sky3DS doesn't work, the blue led doesn't even light up on sky3ds.
GW classic mode does run, but its just like the sysnand, no regionfree.
Also, while the folder layout can be kept separate, when I change the theme (I only tried with colors) it gets carried over to both emunand and sysnand, and it applies both ways - changing color to emu gets applied to sysnand :o
Note that this is on 8.1J
