Hacking How would I run WiiWare wad files on vWii?

Hello.

I was wondering: how would I go about running WiiWare WADs on a Wii U? As far as I'm aware, installing WADs made for an original Wii on vWii will brick the vWii, but the DOs and DO NOTs thread suggests that that's false.

From searching around a bit, I've seen these two solutions come up:

1. Install to Wii Menu
2. Make an EmuNAND and install and run WADs from there
(I am aware that Wii U Menu injects exist, however, I'm not interested in those right now)

I'm a bit confused about the EmuNAND solution, since the posts I've seen mention USB Loader GX but the USB loader I'm using currently is Wiiflow Lite.

Emunand is way overkill if you want to play only a bunch of wiiwares.
Verify the checksums against the nointro database. If they match (no modifications were done), you can safely install these wiiwares.
I recommend you to patch ios 80 so you can transfer them to the sdcard using the official methods.
If you plan to install a lot of wiiwares, have a look to wad2bin.
