Don't currently have an SD big enough for a fw.img, so I was curious on the ease and pros/cons of using a sigpatched sysnand instead of a rednand. Is it worth doing?

    Thanks!

    A game
fw.img weights less than 20 MB.

I thought that you needed a 64GB SD to set up the rednand on Wii U?

If you are using sysnand. For rednand you need 33GB or so of free space for the black unit or 16ishGB for the white unit.

How do you weigh a MB these days?

Sig patched sysnand works just fine. The only downside is no brick protection in anyway. There is also no way of knowing what will happen when a new system update comes out.

You can play Wii VC games and you don't need a 64GB SD card. It's safe as long as you don't install system titles.

Is there any modified Wii VC titles, eg ROM injections or something? Not many games support Classic Controller...

Well, how would I go about modifying one? I think it's worth a shot.

Thanks all for the help! I got a sigpatched sysnand set up.

But what do I do now? I tested a Wii VC game and it works, but I really don't see much that requires sigpatches to run available.

If I downloaded a game (or DLC?) from NUS, where would I get the ticket I need for wup-installer?

honestly, I'd recommend using something like Wii U USB Helper for downloading, all ticket stuff is automated, and if you're running sigpatched sysnand, all of it works
