EDIT: problem solved, big thanks to @Cyan

Put your GCT files onto the same device as you have the game ISO, and specify the path in USBLoaderGX Custom Path
Example:

GCMainPath: usb1:/games/
GCTPath: usb1:/codes/GAMEID.gct

And DIOS MIOS find the codes. ;)
If you want play a Wii game with codes you have to switch it back to sd:/codes/, or put all you wii GCT codes to usb :ha:

I have problems to get ocarina working with DMv2.

I tried all these:

-> Copy GCT to usb1:/games/GAMEID/GAMEID.gct (tried with USBLoaderGX, DIOS MIOS Booter, CFGLoader)
-> Copy GCT to usb1:/games/GAMEID/CODES.gct (tried with USBLoaderGX, DIOS MIOS Booter, CFGLoader)
-> Copy GCT to sd:/codes/GAMEID.gct (tried with USBLoaderGX, DIOS MIOS Booter, CFGLoader)
-> Copy GCT to sd/usb-loader/codes/GAMEID.gct (tried with CFGLoader)

The codes just don't apply to the game :( why? :(
I'm using codes from GeckoCodes.org, and I'm compiling the GCT with codemgr.exe with Wine in Linux. NOTE: The App works like in Windows, no kind of problem. Wii Games works with codes. :D

Is DIOS MIOS not working for ocarina or what?
I won't use DMLite because I'm only want to play form USB HDD.
I have 2 HDDs, one for Wii Games (320GB, WBFS) and one for GC Games (320GB, FAT32).
SDCards are just to small. :shit:

And btw, the GC Games are all in ISO (Uncompressed) format, directly ripped in USBLoaderGX.

Do you have wifi on your wii?

If so try it with cfg loader again with the latest beta of cfg and let cfg loader download the cheat file for you and create the gct file for you.

EDIT:
This is not needed anymore. USBloaderGX can now detect and move the GCT file automatically.
Original post bellow:
------------------------

You tested 4 things, but you forgot one test (the correct one :P)

You need to place the GCT path to the same partition than the game, AND you need to specify it in the USBLoader GX settings.
Placing the .gct in the same folder of the game without changing it in GX won't xork, because GX send to DM the path you specified.

Set the path in settings > page 2 > user paths >

Main GameCube PAth : USB1:/games/
GCT CheatCode Path : USB1:/codes/

Your HDD will look like that:
usb1:/games/my game[ID6]/game.iso
usb1:/codes/ID6.gct

You could place the .gct in the /games/ folder if you want, but you need to tell USBLoader GX where it is :

Main GameCube PAth : USB1:/games/
GCT CheatCode Path : USB1:/games/

Your HDD will look like that:
usb1:/games/my game[ID6]/game.iso
usb1:/games/id6.gct

edit:
Your tests could have worked if you placed the gct in usb1:/codes/ID6.gct and kept the setting in USBLoader to SD :/codes/ID6.gct

The USB Loader send only "/codes/ID6.gct" to DIOS MIOS, without the device name.
DIOS MIOS try to load it from the same partition than the game.

Any folder should work as long as the ID6.gct file is on the same partition than the game.
Just to be sure: You correctly created the gct after setting the path, not before? (looks like a dumb question, but we never know for sure if a user did it correctly or not)

which code is it?
It doesn't need any manual edition? (if the code has some xx characters in it).

Did you try with another Gamecube game?
