Hacking How to update an R4i Gold to work on 1.4.2U?

I bought this card:

But that's not the card they sent me.

They sent me this:

How do I update the thing to work on 1.4.2U? I downloaded the update.nds file thing but it wouldn't load.

did you load akaio or ysmenu on it also from that website

put akaio or ysmenu and the update on the micro sd and the update should load on your ds.

either website has the updates for your card

I tried downloading but since the server is in China it was taking 45 minutes to download a 2.8MB file... .-.

Then it failed. I just searched the same file name and found it on FileTrip.

It works now... Minus the having to do the paper trick..

I had the same problem, the trick to that website is you have to view it in chinese then it downloads much quicker.

Maybe you should get the r4i gold released by www.r4ids.cn, which can support NDSi V1.4.3 without any updating.

As far as i know, the real r4i gold is from r4ids.cn and uses wood firmware, it should looks like this http://www.digitopz.com/r4i-gold-3ds-flash...-3ds-p-216.html

And your card is from r4ids.com, you should use the firmware from their official site.
