Agreed, it seems like kind of a waste of time since the official English version will be out soon anyway. Only reason to do your own translation now is if you're planning on disregarding the actual script and making some sort of humourous version like the Link's Awakening hack, 'Link gets laid' for GBC.

Don't even bother making your own patch and starting your own Translation Project, because I excluded that part out and the English version of the game will be out within a month.
Also...use Google next time before you ask.
EDIT: If you plan on translating the game into a different language other than English, then that's fine by us.
