Hacking how to tell firm?

I got a couple acecards from ndscards in christmas boxes...How can I tell if the need to be updated or if they will work on a brandnew dsxl(wrapped for christmas)

is there a checker i can use on the girls old lites or just force the update anyway?

want these to work right away christmas morn.

I'm not really sure but just to be safe, update them all with 1.4.1 fix.

No fix ==> Acekard 2i logo
1.4 fix ==> Danny Phantom Urban Jungle logo
1.4.1 fix ==> Alex Rider Stormbreaker logo

EDIT: You'll obviously have to open them first.
