beacuse i'm bored of everytime i turn my PSP on i need to open PRO recovery to play my emulators/games and the 6.60 permanent patch only work on 1000 and 2000 models, i have 3001 and the 6.20 works on every model that downgrade is possible, so i wanted to downgrade my psp for everytime i turn it on, i get all my games opening with 0 problems.

I think that is what @Alex658 said above:
If you wish to downgrade for the "perma" hack. Just google PSP infinity by Davee instead.

I think he means this one:

http://wololo.net/2016/02/14/releas...nfinity-6-61-permanent-patch-for-me-pro-cfws/

This install the Custom Firmware 6.61 permanet.:)

Please READ all in Calm and focused to not get your PSP bricked.

Good Luck.:)

Unfortunately is not possible on your model.

That's why people tries to avoid the 300/3000 models. (Hey in the box and manual is with a 0 less, what's up with that?)

The best model to get is the early 200/2000 models since they can get a permanent patch on a quite late firmware.

I am almost sure the Star wars model PSP 200/2000 is one of those early models but don't try to get it because is is quite overpriced for some reason.

Or get a model 100/1000 and endure the load times.

Nope, 6.61 PROMOD-C2p on my black PSP, and 6.61 LME-2.3 on my silver one. It's definitely possible. Whoever told you otherwise steered you wrong.

https://infinity.lolhax.org/

From the web site:

To solve this, I present 6.61 Infinity. By abusing a bug in 6.31, 6.61 Infinity utilises a similar technique to the old 1.50 firmwares to provide an upto-date custom firmware for all devices, excluding the E1000 (so far).

But it is a permahack?

Yes. That is the one that i mean. The way infinity works on every psp model OTHER THAN STREET E-1000 Is by making a custom "franken"-firmware from 6.60+6.61 and applying a permanent patch similar to the cIPL patches of the original fat and slim (hackable mobo's). The result for the end user is a permanent hack. If you attempt infinity please read it up beforehand and ensure you do not make a mistake.

Try this, but read all the instructions first.

Hello I know it's a bit late but I have a question. So my friend had his psp hacked years ago its a psp E-bla bla. He wanted me to install some games to it. I know that it wasnt a perma hack since he did mentioned that sometimes his games would disappear. He also told me that he formatted his psp years ago... So here is the problem he has 6.60 but I don't know which cfw he has. Do I run the cfw updater or do I just launch the other program thats for the non perma hacks?

If I recall correctly, E-Street was a particularly troublesome model way back in 6.60 days. Chances are that he has Pro CFW and you'll need to run an enabler in order to see unsigned applications in the menu. Hard to tell without actually seeing the system. If it is Pro CFW that's non-permanent, you should see Fast Recovery in the GAME menu which you'd need to run in order to re-enable the CFW after each device reboot.

Can you explain a bit further. I am familiar with 3ds hacking but psp is a whole new world to me

Scroll the XMB menu to the games section and see what's installed on the memory stick. You should see Fast Recovery there. If you don't, the pre-requisite files are not on the stick and you may as well reinstall.

There is now Infinity 2.0 for perma hacks on 6.60 and 6.61.

You didn't see the post about Infinite 2.0, did you?

Installation
To install infinity you must be on either firmware 6.60 or 6.61. If you have an old version of infinity (< 2.0), then you must uninstall it first by using Chronoswitch 7 or higher.

Download and extract the latest version of infinity. The extracted contents should be:

  • standard folder containing the tool for non-PSPgo models.
  • pspgo folder contain the tool for PSPgo models.
  • README.md this readme file.
  • LICENSE a copy of the MIT license covering this software.
Instructions for PSP 1000, 2000, 3000 and Street
Browse into the standard directory in the download and copy the file EBOOT.PBP to the PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder on your PSP. If this folder does not exist you may need to create it.

Instructions for PSPgo
Browse into the pspgo directory in the download and copy the file EBOOT.PBP to the PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder on your PSPgo. If this folder does not exist you may need to create it.

Instructions for all PSP models
Once the correct EBOOT.PBP file has been copied to your PSP, you can run the application to install infinity to your device. Re-running the application after installation will allow you to select which custom firmware you want enabled. You will need to run the installer for the custom firmware before enabling it within the infinity app.

Infinity supports both PRO and ME custom firmwares. Consult the installation material for theses custom firmwares for further instructions.

Get it here:

Is it safe to install a cfw on top of another cfw?
Generally yes (in fact you can install simultanously a 6.6x version of temporary PRO and LME and boot manually the one you want) but if in doubt, nobody prevents you from using Chronoswitch to force (re)install official 6.6x :)
