Hacking How to set up r4 sdhc 2015 dual core?

So from the store i got it from its supposed to be already set up and plug and play but when i actually start it it give me an "Can't open_dsmenu.dat" and from what i have seen so far its something with its kernel/firmware.So i searched everywhere and couldn't find an updated firmware/kernel that worked with my 3ds (9.9.0) and i always had the same error message.Does anyone know a way to fix that? Thanks!

did you unzip the file that you downloaded and put the contents onto the micro sd card?

(Just checking all of the obvious stuff)

Yup i put them all(after unziping them) in the root of the micro sd card
