Hacking How to record DS footage?

I want to put a playthrough of Pokemon Soul Silver on YouTube, but I don't know how I should go about recording footage on my DSi without a camera. I want something like the PSP's RemoteJoyLite (It uses the PC as a PSP monitor), although the monitor aspect is more of a bonus.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Sice there's no way you can USb your DS to your computer or TV-Out your DS, i don't see it happening, sorry =)

Only way currently is to play it on an emulator and record the emulator footage or acquire one of the video capturing devices that places like IGN use (which would be really hard).

Something like remotejoylite probably would be possible because:
1. There's no port for being able to connect the DSi directly to the computer (unlike the PSP)
2. We have not unlocked dsi mode yet so we cannot make homebrew that uses DSi's full potential
3. Even if you recorded it with software on the DSi 12 mb's is not enough to record gameplay footage (4 mb would be used for the actual game).

Without a camera you can't do much with a DS homebrew or anything. The easiest way to record it would be to use a DS emulator on the PC.

Well in theory but still like I said 12 megabytes is no where near enough ram to be able to record something.

It doesn't work that way. Once the DS game booted, you'd be in DS mode, with no access to any of the DSi-specific features. It's the same reason why we can't record GBA footage on the DS.

There is also an official device of Nintendo to do that
Its the "IS Nitro Capture" Device, i saw it once at a discontinued German Gaming TV Station called GIGA
IS is Intelligent Systems
Nitro is the Codename of the DS

Well in theory but still like I said 12 megabytes is no where near enough ram to be able to record something.

Its more of a matter of CPU speed when it comes to encoding videos i.e. recording and such.
