Hardware how to play wii fit pal to ntsc

I have a original Wii fit Pal version and a modded ntsc 3.2J wii.

Is there a way I could play the game. IT says i need to update when i load the disc, which i'm not too confident in doing scared it may brick it.

An update might indeed brick you Wii (because the game's of another region). To get around this use either Preloader (with the skip update check hack) or Gecko OS.
