Hacking How make a PS3 Virgin

Hi,
my question is how to make an ps3 virgin.
I had the fw. 1.41 but installed accidentally 1.50 after an update message from an original game.
Now the backup manager doesn't work but there are some games saved on hdd.
Now i would have an unmodded ps3 with 1.56 to play games online as before.
The thing with 1.41 and the jailbreak dongle was only to test it.

Should i have feares if i plug my LAN-Cable to the ps3 and update it?
