Hardware How hard is it to change just the outside shell of the N3ds XL?

i currently have a black N3ds xl console and am looking to buy a Majoras Mask Shell. The back is obviously easy to take off and fit but what about the top Shell? Would you guys reccomend doing it?

Isn't it as simple as removing 4 screws? Or am I looking at the wrong thing? This is the piece I am talking about;

the bottom is easy. If you want screen too (only outside color, not the inside color) you have to unscrew 4 "hidden" screws under the 4 square foam covers. Then it will just slide out (with some force). Also, if you want to change shoulder buttons, you have to replace piece under the bottom cover (which means 8 screw, 2 hidden under rubber feats)

I thought you want to replace the whole Case....but I can say one thing: it's very difficult to get the Rubber on the Screws out without braking them...

Yeah I just want to change the outside colour. Sounds pretty easy, is that the case?

only 6 screws in total so yes, pretty easy

My bad I should have made it more clear. And is that without breaking the rubber or the screw/plastic?

the bottom feats are hard to break (because the are pretty tall), but 4 on the screen... you will destroy them

Ahh okay. I guess I'll buy a set of them for replacement. I don't think there is anyway I can mess up the console here so all seems good. Thanks
