their calling my niece a boy because it's a common mistake in our country. nephews and nieces aren't commonly used in our language as it's replaced with "pamangkin" which means both niece and nephew. same as he and she as it's commonly referred to as "siya." tagalog can be such a deterrence in mastering other languages' grammar sometimes...

as for the ak2i. no choice, I have to give it now, as she's already getting a new DS, an xl. her old DS lite's gonna her sis' now. so I'll just stick with the M3 sakura. I just wish the M3 team would integrate a file manager on sakura as well and not just the touchpod.

To be quite honest, I like sakura compared to akaio. Both firmwares have features that I would like in the other firmware, but if I had to choose, it's sakura. Sakura's GUI's smoothness in scrolling the game list constantly wins me over. I don't know, it's really just aesthetics I like. I will be missing sakura when I get my scds2.

To compare the pros:

Sakura:
Not really related, but SIDE cart SD card slot
Smooth GUI
Quick boot checkdisc scan
Sound

Akaio:
Wifi updates (sadly, downloads (especially cheat db) take forever due to DS's slow wifi speeds (about 10-15 kb/s)
File management (cut/copy/paste/hide/etc)

I finally got my Ak2i from shoptemp! not the fastest, but I got what I paid for (2-5 weeks) and well came around 2w3d. not bad. Count my future gaming accessories purchases as shoptemp's.

Really niece and nephew is one word? Sound less confusing to me. Don't get me wrong, I'm a native english speaker, but the more I learn about other languages and cultures the more I learn both english and the US (I know the two aren't really directly related) are screwed up.

Yup, one word. A lot of our pronouns aren't gender based so their easily interchangeable and while it may seem confusing to other speakers when a topic being talked about is of multiple people, it doesn't really bother nor confuse us.

Back on topic, uhm, instead of asking a lot about what to do with an ak2i to a dsi xl, i'll just ask for the right direction where to go, in terms of updating the card so it works flawlessly with the new xl I just bought this afternoon.
Also, does it really have to be a Danny Phantom Icon? I didn't update the card, someone else did and I wasn't paying attention... I hate it when that happens.

I suppose I already read the essentials for the Ak2i and AKAIO from (where else?) gbatemp! thanks community! I knew lurking was always a good thing, instead of continously yapping without searching.

bummer about Danny Fenton's alter ego, but at I'm still thankful that it works - that is after all the important thing. My only wish, is they get that gorgeous acekard icon back up. just a wish though. if it happens, it happens - right?
