If you have money and dont want to waste time GW is best.
I think it's a huge waste of time waiting for menuhax to boot gateway mode :rofl2:

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

see the comment above.
Its so instant, you have to...
A) Download it
B) Copy it over to your obviously shit SD card (it takes you two days to install a CIA!)
C) Fuck around with a private header if you don't want to be banned

With a CIA, you can download and install it directly from Nitnendo's servers, all on your 3ds. No browsing shady websites or copying necessary.

You can dump your games to .3ds
But you can only play them on the 3ds in .cia

Flash carts use the .3ds format.
Its best to just convert and install them.
Save both files on a disc or harddrive for later use.

Gateway is far behind with their features. I own a Gateway. Haven't used it in close to a year, but I own one. ROMs vs CIAs is another matter, but overall, I find CIAs more convenient due to not needing to apply a private header.

Gateway Advantages:
-Don't need to convert ROMs to CIAs.
-Gateshark codes (though, the same cheats can be applied with NTR).

Gateway Disadvantages:
-Payed.
-Requires a flashcart to use at all.
-Doesn't support Arm9loaderhax (currently).
-Extremely slow updates (still no downgrader; menuhax took forever to implement).

CFW Advantages:
-Free.
-Arm9loaderhax.
-Doesn't require a flashcart to boot.
-Consistent updates with new features.

CFW Disadvantages:
-Doesn't support ROMs.

Overall, I think CFW's advantages are better. I switched to CFW when Menuhax was released and haven't looked back.
but remember the Gateway a9lh update is coming soon™

you put a header in the 3ds file and play online? i dont understand your logic.
Funny you skipped that step in your super simple list..
But id imagine that takes time right?
Id rather spend the time installing a CIA that takes maybe 10 mins.. if that.

Your logic is broken. Possible to play online? All day. Easier? No

drag and drop and play with 3ds is instant, id rather spend time playing a game over installing it :rofl2:
You still have to download the .3ds, then transfer it over(transfer speeds can suck). With tickets you don't have to dl the CIA then install, its download and play.
