i used to have to alternate putting a bunch of things in my bed or my desktop, i'd just put them wherever i was not using, if i was too tired to move things out of the bed, i'd lay on the floor, i eventually organized better, and dont do that anymore

It's those dann mini consoles. 2 wireless and 2 wired controllers per mini. I think that might be around 20 controllers right there.

They honestly just lay on my desk. I use my PS4 controller for Steam games and emulators as needed, and my Switch Pro controller for playing switch, also at my desk. (I have an L shaped desk, so my PC and 4K TV take up the right side, and my Switch is docked to a computer monitor on the left side.)

I pretty much have no physical room. due to how fucked up the ps3 and 4 scenes are, I want nothing to do with the switch scene or any later scene. I kinda made up my mind about that. anyway, I can't have more than 2 grand in my three accounts either, so these two things give me reason to be legit with the switch. I have 123 games with 300GBs left of a 1TB card. I actually got three insufficient funds charges due to paypal pulling money from the wrong account last month. I plan to consolidate everything with the bank tomorrow afternoon.

kinda get it, i only buy games on steam, my library is like 80 games or so, i stopped paying for 3ds games because i lied and said i lived in ny (wouldnt let me buy games if i put my real country in) and taxes are too high, might start a physical collection once prices drop though

I'm selling my physical switch games. I've already bought them digitally. I was overmedicated at one point, so my hands would shake, and I'd drop things a lot. I was afraid of dropping the switch when swapping cartridges. my eyesight is also pretty poor, so I probably would have had a difficult time swapping carts while it was in the dock. because of that, I went digital. I no longer have that problem, but I do like the convenience of not having to swap carts.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

btw, I bought all retail games using the best buy gamer's card, so 20% off all software. selling these in very good condition, used, I've about broken even on most of the games thus far.

i never had many original things, all my movies were burnt dvds with the name scribbled on with sharpie, so i kinda feel the need to get a smaller, original collection, just ofr the sake of it, the last part is great to hear

oh, I have a large collection of dvds inside of cases. I have probably 300 or more burned ps2 games. I tested a few with a new system, modchip, and laser, and every one of them worked no problem. I'd probably go soft modding route with the ps2 if not for these discs. it would take way too much time to rebuild the collection.

here's part of my computer area with a large binder, sata station, 4 10TB hdds, an industrial surge protector, and my wii u pro controller mayflash adapter:

i've been throwing most of my dvd collection, its mainly movies i liked as a kid but i dont feel like i'll ever rewatch them, and for the few i actually like, i could get digital, in better quality, or in original as to have a small collection, i also want to start a vhs collection, most likely i will never use any, but i want to have them, as for storage, i have a 240 gb ssd for windows and most used stuff (its mostly csgo and a few productivity things like photoshop and vegas), a 1 tb hdd (internal) for lesser used games, or games that dont fit inside the hdd, and everything else, and a 1 tb external hdd, for things i rarely access but i ocasssionally do, i feel like if i were to upgrade to a 4 tb hdd+1tb ssd my storage needs would be solved for probably 5 years or so

    Only Xbox I don't have is the OG, and One X model specifically, I regret giving my chipped OG model to one of my kids years ago, after later hearing he sold it to pawn shop, damn kids!

    I just recently picked up a n64 from a garage sell, and looking to mod it and add a HDMI port to it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3548173115...044&customid=4f3038da73b61afddf7e5e90f4153856
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    I'd like to find a power strip and HDMI selector built in 1 unit, so I can select which game system I want, and will switch to that hdmi, and power on that plug/power supply only, so don't have all game systems powered all the time, but can't find anything like. May just have to make something myself.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Maybe start a kick starter page and sell them, yea right. Big N would prob C&D me, not anything Big N related, but just because that's what they do nowdays. Then come out with they own in a year or so.

    @Xdqwerty, Nice. Which operating system are you installing?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, windows 10 and some linux distro like linux mint
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    dualbooth
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ,
    I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ,
    I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

  • impeeza @ impeeza:
    @Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
