You took a hefty assumption assuming that just because an extension is numbered, you can shove them all together...

Some groups release their archives like that sometimes.  Get back to the point where you have all those numbered extensions and open .001 with winRAR.

Then you should be able to extract the iso for unscrambling or whatnot.

You will unscrambling the .wii file or just rename it to .ISO ?
Wario Ware is unscrambled with unscrambler 0.4...

Quick question for anyone...

Burned several backups onto Verbatim DVD+R at 6x but now realise my drive's booktype setting was DVD+R all the time instead of DVD-ROM.

Is there a way to dump the disc again into an ISO file so I can reburn with the correct booktype? Tried ISO buster but couldn't get an .iso file.

Anybody know? Thanks.

Anyone know if these Staples brand DVDs I have will work? "Manufacturer ID: FUJIFILM03", says it supports up to 8x.
Oh, and the prerecorded booktype is apparently DVD-R.

For Mac users, you can use Disk Utility to burn (or any App that uses OS X's built in burning capabilites) since they work fine for people burning GCN games.

However, I just burned Wario Ware: Smooth Moves (unscrambled) but noticed that the burned disc will not mount in OS X. Is this normal? I've never burned GCN games, so I have no experience in this area.

I'm not an expert, but I think it's normal for the burned disc to not mount in normal operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux). You'll notice that original Wii discs don't mount in normal operating systems either.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, that would make sense if the disc is a direct copy, so it looks like I burned it ok. Now just need to wait for my Wiinja to test it.

I feel stupid asking this (and I have probably every reason to), but I've got the image, it's unscrambled given the size. But when I open it with toast, as an ISO, he asks the format: pregap, postgap, 2048, 2052...
So I suppose this is not the way it is supposed to go.
The size of the iso is 4.699.979.776 bytes, so unscrambled.
I read the whole post here, on maxconsole and I still don't have a clue.
Suppose that says enough about my IQ.
But do you have to burn the iso file on a data dvd? Or is it toast?

That's the problem it is iso extension, he just doesn't recognize the iso, neither does disk utitlity. I'm now making a second backup hoping that I did something wrong, but I seriously doubt it.

Well, update for now,
disk utitlity refuses the image,
toast asks about more information and if I'm sure this is an iso,
Disco just burns it, the slight problem I have is I can't test him, the postal office still has possesion over my mod chip.

I didn't actually burn mine with Disk Utility, but used Disco as well. Hopefully our backups will work; in the same boat as you, waiting for my Wiinja.

OK, I just unscrambled a .wii with Rawdump 2.0 and got an .iso now. Can I just burn it with Nero (I have version 5.5.10.42) or do I have to use a special burning program? Also are there special settings when burning?

Nero should work fine. Just burn it as a disk image. It might be smart to burn it slower than your max speed, but that's only speculation on my part.

Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
