Highlight the rom you wish to use cheats for. Press Y twice, Enable cheats, press A to save. While rom is still highlighted, press Y once, press the cheat button (alternatively, you can press start, then select more and then select cheats). Then turn on/off cheats with A. Press select when done. Then launch rom.
