Hacking how do i place action replay cheats?

hi, i just got my NDSL and my supercard ds one V3, and i upgraded it to SP7.
now, i dont understand how to use cheats.
ive downloaded the english cheat files from the supercard but i dont know how to find the file for each game so i can edit it.
ive seen a video on youtube that i need to use those ar2cht, cdipstar2 and cht2sueprcard. i created the cheat file and turned it to both .cht and .scc and named it like the game [pokemon paltinum. i named the rom PokemonPlatinum and so is the .scc file]
what im i doing wrong?
EDIT:
oh no, was i needed to keep the numbers at the begining of the rom's name? i deleted them and named it they way i wanted.
is it a bad thign to do?

what do i do with what i downloaded?

i made a txt file with AR cheat like i saw on youtube and using ar2cht and cht2supercard i made it .scc and i named it EXACTLY how i named my rom, but what do i do with the .scc file?
where do i place it?
in the cheat folder?
or in the same folder with the rom?
and can u tell me what i need to tick on SETPATCH?
this is urgent T~T

first, the scc file must be in the same folder as your game if the filename is the same, if you use the number, then it goes in the cheat folder (must have an updated nsdinfo.dat).

second, in the card os, press "X" when selecting the game, set patch into enable cheats and save the config. if you run the game, then the cheat menu will come first, then your game will load

the problem of the cheat engine of the supercard products (not only the dsone) is the GUI.

Ok, sadak5 does everything that you have said apply to SC onei as well? Because I have does exactly what you have said for the cheats but it will not work for me at all. I've tried about 3-4 ways but still will not work....if you could message meto explain my wrong doings it would be appreciative.....I've even googled :|

what part of and what cheats have you tried?

if the cheats aren't in the correct region (U,E or J), or in the correct format, the cheat's will not work. As far as I know, the os for the DSi is the same (just adapted) of the other DSone models.

Also, some cheats doesn't work with recent versions of the OS (as far as I tried, only the pokemon game's cheats doesn't, but I don't play with cheats often)

where did you get your cheatS?

cheats.gbatemp.net and download the scc cheats

furthermore, due to the poorly constructed cheat engine of supercard
not all codes in the database would work

i got the AR cheats from the cheat database it gave me Cheat.xml- what do i do with it now?
