Hacking How do I make a r4 shell?

The shell (white plastic case protecting the insides of the cartridge) of my r4 dual core broke, and now it will no longer fit in. The actual mechanisms work fine, it's just that I can't use it because it doesn't quite fit. Any suggestions on how to get around the problem (like making an improvised one)?

You can try to rasp the part that doesn't match into the slot. Otherwise you could try to 3D print a new piece but idk if that would work.

Your best bet is buying a bricked flashcard (from where?) or a pirate game (from ebay) or even better an original "game" that's <$2 at game$top, and case swapping!

However while, with the original game at least, you're guaranteed to get a case of accurate size for the slot, you will definitely need to add holes for the microSD and potentially for chips that stick out...
