Hacking How do I install BigBlueMenu to Sysnand?

Run without emunand? But you won't be able to launch devmen unless you are running in GW mode

It not possible to modify SysNAND, at least not at the moment.

No point on doing that since you have to be in GW mode in order to use it anyways.

Just did it today, DO NOT format emuNAND(and not have emuNAND partition on SD). This will make you boot gateway in sysNAND. open devmenu.3ds and import cia. turn off your ds and see the app in sysNAND.

Problems:
You can't open the app without gateway mode
opening the app in gw then press home will somewhat render select button useless, i suspect it returns to non gw mode

tested on gw 2.7 homebrew and game

in short useless

Let me take a stab at this... You make a new emuNAND setup on your SD. Since you're sysNAND is on 4.x so is your new emuNAND. You install DevMenu/BBMenu on your 4.x emuNAND. You extract that emuNAND from the SD. You use the hardware mod to install that backup to sysNAND. Right?

I gotta get a hardware mod.

Or am I wrong?

Yup you got it, you also can use the hard mod to update and receive eshop updates and then downgrade to 4.x and convert to cia. I did this for a few people already when we lost support for 9.3 / 9.4

I don't even know why a Gateway user would need Cubic Ninja.

Yea you can convert the US version of CN to a cia and install it on the 4.x system nand then be able to run it. Makes you be able to update emunand to 9.4 and still get homebrew launcher

This was exactly what I was thinking of doing too, but somebody in another thread (asking about SaveDataFiler with retail CARD1 games) was telling me that ever since 9.x you can't switch between Gateway and sysNAND modes.

Are they just being idiots? I was fairly certain that method will work, and it's what I was going to do once I get my NAND modded 3DSes back in my mailbox.
