A great number of GBA games use the "sappy" sound format. While most are usually focused on altering the soundtrack you can extract it as well.

Warioware might be an exception as the devs of the that franchise often get a bit creative.
There are various other formats used, sometimes they are common formats like MOD audio and other times they can be proprietary (one of the spiderman games I think we normally have as an example, though several of those).
That said it won't do for midi/sequenced audio but you can always run the game in an emulator, if there is a sound test do that and if not find a point in the game where you can just let it play (or maybe use sappy to nuke any sound effects, assuming they are not just coming out of a channel you can just disable) and use loop back recording/emulator recording.
