Hacking How do Config files work for PS2 games on HEN?

I recently FTP'd a BIN.ENC of a game to my PS3 (Mafia) and it ran the intro just fine, however, once it was over, it froze. Now, i went over on the PSDEVWiki and it says it needs a config to avoid crashing/freezing, and it shows a list of "codes" on one of their pages, but how do i exactly use these "configs" and where do i put to them/load them on my PS3?

I only have CFW, I don't know how HEN works, but the .CONFIGs from installing this .PKG worked when booting the games with Managunz/Webman Mod, as far as I can tell. I can confirm that Battlefront 1 works; Battlefront 2 and Metal Slug (6) Anthology get farther along, but still freeze. The installation has multiple folders, so maybe there's different .CONFIGs per game, I just don't know how to swap them.
