Hacking How can I update my Chipped/Modded Wii's firmware to the latest wi

I got a chipped Wii, not sure what chip it exactly is, though when I do a system update it warns me that the update will delete any modifications and stuff like that, so I hold down the power button to shut the Wii off. Now, my firmware is getting quite old, and I want the new Shopping Channel update, how can I update my Wii's firmware without a risk of busting it, bricking it, or whatever?

follow the update to 4.2 from my guide
since your already chipped, the games should work because you will have the latest IOS's
