Homebrew how can I get otp.bin on n3ds xl?

how can I get my otp.bin file on my n3ds? I heard it was to downgrade it to 2.1 but, the n3ds doesn't have that version since it came default with 9.0 so, how can I install a9lh without bricking my n3ds?

iirc, if you follow one of the famous guides for installing A9LH, the brick rate even if you follow every step, is 90% brick rate getting the otp.bin which is the most difficult part (?) don't quote me on that but its what ive heard on n3ds!

I did it on my New3DS no brick.
There are very few bricks, and they are all user error.
As long as you follow the guide 100% there will be no issues at all

Your reasoning is right, the N3DS shouldn't be able to run 2.X, but, you downgrade an Emunand and apply some patches to it that will make it work on the N3DS. Others already linked the tutorials. Please don't use someone else's OTP file, DO NOT.

pretty much bricks nowadays come from downgrades, which to say its never really going to be "100% brickproof"
