Homebrew Homebrew question on my hard modded Wii

I few months back i updated my system firmware on my wii key enabled wii, the update remoived the homebrew channel. However searching through my collection i have just found my homebrew channel dvd, the one i burned to install the homebrew channel the first time.

Is it safe to run this and reinstall the homebrew channel? or will the loophole that let me install the homebrew channel be closed in the firmware update and will running this brick my wii?

if you have a wiikey than it should work the wii can't stop chips from reading burned dvds?

It shouldn't brick the wii, but I believe the disc relies on truchabug. Which you may or may not have.
