What game? There are several old games have been ported to DS, yes, but unless you tell us what you are looking for, we cannot tell you if it has been ported.

But it wouldn't necessarily need to be emulated. Though it's not very likely, one(not me) could probably port it to the DS(like Mario 64). It would also take years to get everything just right.

Just hypothesiz-ing.

LOL. the ds/ds lite/dsi will never emulate the n64. its not powerful enough.

As a side note on september 2009 after YEARS of coding the first public beta of a N64 emulator for the Nintendo Gamecube was released - something thought to be nearly impossible. In Mario 64 it drops to 10 fps as soon as Marios head is rendered but in game it's playable reaching 70-80% of the real fps. Of course the Wii build runs most games full speed.

The Gamecube hardware is way superior to the DS with a CPU running at 485 Mhz and a GPU at 160 Mhz compare that to 67mhz + 33mhz. On the DSi the main CPU's clock is about twice as fast but still very underpowered for N64 emulation. I tested once on a 166 Mhz P1 and even without actually drawing (in wireframe mode) and sound emulation turned off Mario 64 would not run full speed. Emulation of the N64 really only set off after Pentium II was mainstream.

NO!
You can barely emulate an N64 on an overclocked PSP, that's 333mhz with a lot more RAM. There is no way in hell that a DSi, even with all the features unlocked would be able to do it.

Still, you can brag to your friends and mock play a VIDEO of an N64 game, as long as you make sure it still looks legit.

Well I was thinking along the lines SNES in the platforming and RPG area.

...

You do know there's a SNES emulator for the NDS...right?

Actually an N64 emulator wouldnt be all impossible. The ipod touch 3g and the Iphone 3gs (jailbroken of course) got an N64 emulator recently.

I'm pretty sure it was ONLY 3GS which is more powerful, and FAR more powerful than DS or DSi.

iPhone 3GS has a 600MHz processor and the DS has two processors at clock speeds of 67 MHz and 33 MHz. On DSi the main processor is clocked at 133MHz, dunno about the coprocessor but its less than that. That is a LOT slower processor speed.

iPhone 3GS has 256MB of RAM. DS has 4MB and DSi has 16MB.

BTW, the iPhone 3G (not S) has 412MHz processor and 128MB RAM.

Also, FYI, the N64 had a processor of 93.75MHz and a coprocessor of 62.5MHz, along with 36MB of RAM.

And to emulate a system you need at LEAST twice the specs of it, if not far more.

Actually that's not an overclocked PSP. The PSP's CPU is underclocked (to my knowledge) to save battery life and the N64 emulators (along with normal CFW and other homebrew) have just unlocked it to its full speed of 333mhz.

Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
