ROM Hack Homebrew Media Streamer?

I was wondering, (its probley just a dream), but is there any video streamer, or anything made for homebrew like this? I do suppose you would need a webbrowser though to navigate to the file. It would be really nice though to sit down and stream video from somewhere and watch it on your DS. Is there anything that streams right now? Just curious..

I'd write a full fledged shoutcast player if I had the time :S
