I would like to use the iPlayer on my Wii, but I can't use the official app can I without having the latest firmware? I'm still using 3.2 I think, and I don't really want to upgrade because everything else works just fine. Is there a homebrew alternative to the official iPlayer app?

    Thanks!

You don't need to update the SM, only the shop channel and it's IOS.

"yes" but not easily/legally (you can do it legally, or easily, but not both), and it won't work with an American IP address, so you'd have to connect the Wii via a proxy, and doing so for this purpose would be illegal I believe.
