What's the essentials for the Wii U in 2018?

So far I've got my Wii U running Haxchi (non CBHC) and installing games using WUP Installer GX2.

What other Homebrew is recommended? Ie FTP, managers (data, files etc..) Cheat engine...?

I only used tcpgecko to use it for cheats in Xenoblade Chronicles X ... Honestly the other programs are not essential, in fact I found much less useful software here than on my old Wii ...
