Hacking Homebrew channel not working

I just installed the homebrew channel using HackMii. It says that the install was successful and the channel shows up in the Wii menu...but I can't start it. If I try to, it shows a loading screen and then it goes back to the Wii menu. I've tried uninstalling and installing again but it still doesn't work.

Any ideas on what I should do? Will it work better if I use the twilight hack instead of the Bannerbomb? All help appreciated

Do you have any apps on your SD card? if not then nothings gonna happen.

Do you have any apps on your SD card? if not then nothings gonna happen.

I have two apps, Wad manager and USB loader GX. Both boot.dol-files. Will it help if I have .elf-files instead? Or some other apps?

They have to be in the SD:/apps folder

so on your SD card it looks like this

/apps/Wad Manager/boot.dol > for wad manager

/apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol > for USB Loader GX.

I have them like that and it still doesn't work. Is there anything I have to do except for installing the homebrew channel?

is your SD card formatted to FAT32?

Is there anything else on the card? Try removing bannerbomb from it if it's still there or run the hackmii installer again through it now and uninstall and reinstall the HBC again to make sure it installed properly.

No it's formatted to FAT...It has to be FAT32?

I formatted it to FAT32 and tried...didn't work.

Removed everything except for the two apps, still doesn't work...

What firmware version are you on?

I'm assuming you tried to install HBC 1.03?

I'm on firmware 3.2E, HBC 1.01 worked fine. I had trouble with both 1.02 and 1.03 until I Installed IOS60 and IOS61 with the +Trucha option enabled (neither were installed, think they are System Menu, Shop Channel for 4.0?) using WiiSCU and updated to HBC 1.03, now working fine.

Read the last post in this thread on BootMii forums (last post by SifJar), this is where I found the solution.
