Hardware Home Button No Longer Working on New 3DS Console

Hey guys,
A couple of days ago I transferred a old motherboard from my 9.0 n3ds to my new black n3ds(they have just come out in Australia), and ive discovered that the home button is no longer working, apparently the latch isnt suppose to be lifted and the cables just wiggle out, any tips of fixing this?

Its even wierder because only the home button is broken, the touch screen is fine.

Those clips on the N3DS, the black ones, should not be lifted as it will not have enough pressure down on the ribbons. You might want to try pushing it down and maybe secure with tape. I say tape as super glue is not recommended as it would damage the clips, ribbons and be a pain to remove later.

You can use that hot glue gun, it's easier to remove it after something has gone wrong

Its versatility is only second to duct tape.
