I've never played Deus Ex although I've heard a lot of good things about it. If only I could get a hold of a copy...

QUOTE said:Well done, you've managed to misread my post.
1) Good for you, but you might want to look up the definition of the word "complaining". You might want to look up the definition of the word "port" too. I'll elaborate on this later on in slightly more detail. Not to mention what I said pretty much goes for the whole post. Just because a PC game is 4GB doesn't mean a homebrew game would be 4GB.
Read it carefully, once againQUOTE said:do you have the game installed on your PC now? If so what's the file size?
do you have the game installed on your PC now? If so what's the file size?
My answer: 4GB.....
I answered to an un-related question: the filesize of Hitman on PC, and somehow you complained that I de-railed the topic and you said I think Hitman DS will take 4GB, thinking that a DS game will take 4GB is f*cking idiot, let alone posting that idea in a forum
Not even in my post I said anything about "port", AC:Altair's Chronicles and Assassin's Creed PC is a different game entirely, what makes you think I think about a port? Let alone type it, and the proof is in page 1 of this topic
2) I haven't played the original Assassins Creed, and even I found it disappointing. Buggy game, bad gameplay, bad controls. Bad minigame.
And you haven't played it?
GameSpot about PC version
Gamespot about PS3 version
Gamespot about 360 version
3) This doesn't even make sense. What do games based on movies have ANYTHING to do with my post? Did you even read it? Did I say bad movies made bad games? No, I said that it was a bad game based on a bad game. Nothing to do with movies therefore there is no pattern. Every Hitman game is a good game. Even if they were to make it in the style of Metal Gear it would still be awesome (Although, Metal Gear was awesome anyway). Also, so I'm thinking of this in a negative manner, am I? I seem to be the only person here who thinks it could work. If anything, you are the one thinking in a negative manner. You should learn to be more positive and look at what could happen, rather than complaning that it'll never happen because it doesn't look shiny and there isn't enough bloom.
I'm talking about "pattern", maybe I should guide you.....
My keyword is pattern, what pattern? Games based on heavy games(originally made for PS3, 360, and/or PC) will usually turn out bad, or it can't fulfill our high expectations. Assassin's Creed for PC is a good game, and its cousin on the DS turns out bad, every Hitman game is a good game, now will it turn out good on the DS? That's what I mean about negative thinking smart brain, I think negative about it, then what can you do? Even if you threaten me with nuclear missile, if I think it won't turn out well, I'll think it that way.
If I think of Altair's Chronicles as the best game of the year, what can you do? My opinion is mine only, you can try to change it, but whether will I change it or not is entirely up to me
Smart brain, think of something deeper than it looks like next time[/b]
4) Great, thanks for telling me something I already knew. Appreciate it.
I can't extract anything from "Well said" reply to facepalm, either my brain is better so I need more words to extract some logic from it, or your brain is too good that you can extract information from a "well said" reply to facepalm, I have no way to know either you think he's facepalming the first post, or the post above his

Back on topic: Hitman DS, while not entirely impossible, requires so many resources. Just like Assassin's Creed, Hitman is a serious game, and appears with high-quality graphic NDS will never dream of. There are just too many aspects in Assassination game and everything is important, and the combination of all this aspects requires alot of resource, and NDS won't be able to pull it off. Taking out some of it's aspects is likely the only way to make it fit on DS, but then it won't be able to present a full gaming experience.
How is that even "back on topic"? Have you even been following the topic? Oh wait, there is no topic to follow. You de-railed it. Good job, buddy.
Then, did you try to get it back on track? I did, and you claim it off-topic. If you want to keep the topic de-railed, I'll try my best.
That one was intended as a reply to the first post, that's the real track of the topic, and when I typed Back on topic I didn't lie. If somehow you think that our debate here is the right track of this topic, then I should type

Does it? I wasn't aware that it even existed. Even if it did exist, why exactly do you think that it has to be a 3D game with the graphics of "Blood Money"? It could easily work as a 2D (Or even 2.5D) Stealth game.
I'm a mere human, mistake is common amongst us humans. Even more I'm not a native english speaker, and even for British and Americans there are dictionaries that tell them the right grammar. And I know I should've typed it "will require"
If, somehow you can prove me you're a God and you never made any mistake before, I'll quit from this forum straightaway.
2D graphics offer only 2 style of gameplay: side-scrolling like Castlevania, or NES Zelda style, which might fit perfectly, but would you like to se a chibi Agent 47? Well, IDK, but I don't want to, it's like seeing 3D Castlevania for PS2, not good, it just won't fit, the gameplay is just bland

Hitman? A serious game? Tell that to the guy in the Santa Claus costume that I just knifed... oh wait.
Did you see him laughing? If so, then tell me what settings did you use to make him laugh, even a Santa Claus pulled a SL .40 when I prepared my Kitchen Knife, they didn't say "put that knife down, it's dangerous", rather they pull out their guns and let them do the talking

Huh, too many aspects huh? Hide from people, find a person, kill person, escape.. yeah, I think the DS could do that. Maybe not a first person view like the PC Hitman games, but it'd be able to work great as a 2(.5)D stealth game. Sure, the levels wouldn't be able to be huge and complicated, but sometimes simple killing is all people want.
Taking out what exactly? In a 2(.5)D Hitman game, the gameplay would probably very much stay the same. The only things I could think of being removed or toned down would be the graphics, music and level size. Sure, First Person view would probably be removed but I think it's very possible for there to be a Hitman game on the DS as long as it's done right.
Yes, DS can pull off such a stunt, with idiot AI, move limited to walk, run, strangle, and shoot, and only 15 people in a map that is, killing people isn't that easy, escaping after you kill someone is even harder. That's why you can read news about murderers arrested in your newspaper, even a simple game of The Sims has alot of aspects, and simulating them in DS isn't good
Sims 2 Apartment Pets
that's what they say about Sims 2 Apartment Pets, it doesn't take too much aspects too, feed your pet, give him a bath, take him for a walk, play with him, go to sleep, yeah... I think it's not boring
Unfortunately there's Dynasty Warriors taking the space for "simple killing game", it requires you to simply kill everybody you met, ignore them if you want as they won't kill you easily. Just take their leader out and the small fries will simply vanish, just equip the best equipment and you're ready to go.
Here's what someone say about the simple massacre, the topic asked for a good beat 'em up game, simple genre, massacre:
Comment about Dynasty Warriors DS
Take out the 3D graphics, and Agent 47 is just like Link killing a soldier from behind, very simple and boring
Take out the great AI, it's simply boring
2D will provide a big map, I'm sure of it, but it won't tell you whether a person outside the view range (your DS screen) is looking at you or not, and it will frustrate you.
If you simply make everybody outside the screen can't see you, then a bigwill be given, simply get a good position and shoot the target, boring....![]()
Trying to port the PC game would just be crazy talk, though.
Only with this statement you can extract some respect from me

He was drunk at the time, so I suppose he was laughing. Rest of it was all wall of text, not that it wasn't worth replying to, I just couldn't be bothered to read it.
Also, take a look at this homebrew game. Graphics like that would work perfectly.

Metal Gear Solid had big maps, but it won't tell you whether a person outside the view range is looking at you or not, and it will frustrate you.

Everybody makes mistakes, but this thread has totally derailed. Instead of discussing the possibility it seems to be in some sort of lock. One person saying "It'll never happen, shit will suck" and the other saying that it is possible for it to be good. But instead of actually discussing Pros and Cons, we just seem to be creating walls of text.
QUOTEAssassin's Creed for PC is a good game
Bad game, and it was also poorly optimised for the PC. A poorly optimised bad game equals an even worse game. Not to mention Assassins Creed DS was nothing more than a cash in.
