I have had my DS Phat from Christmas, '05, and I actually take care of it. After three drops, two on concrete, I have no problems except scratches on the outside.

If yours cracks, do not worry. It is very hard for there to be extensive damage unless you repeatedly bang against the screen (which is why I see most cracks, to be honest.)

    If your throat closes, putting oxygen in your mouth will not solve anything - as you will be introducing oxygen prior to the area of obstruction
