I cant seem to start up Homebrew when im using the ps4 controller, it just gets stuck on the white loading screen with the music playing. anyone else having this issue?

Maschell, amazing piece of art you're crafting ! :3

As many, I'm so impatient to try the 0.9c release. Different devices emulated as multiple Pro Controllers is just genius, that's the feature I'd like for weeks.

You said your objective is to provide the best end-user experience, I totally understand, but text is not so necessary for now as your program is simple (but not simplistic) and intuitive.

Anyway if you plan to implement multiple languages in your final release, I'll be glad to help with French translation.

Keep going and thanks for HID to VPAD, such an essential Wii U app !! :)

I need this amazing update for playing splatoon with 2 controls.. you are a genius :D

thanks for your work

Btw Maschel, did you have any success yet improving the mouse cursor situation? There are quite a few games (like Twilight Princess HD) where it simply never shows up both on the TV and Gamepad screen. I'm currently working on a graphical overlay for games and I'm running into the exact same issue. I'm afraid the GX2CopyColorBufferToScanBuffer hook might not be optimal, but I couldn't find a working/better alternative yet :(

I didn't try it yet

Legend said that if you were to say to Maschell how beautify he is he might think about releasing the new version of HID to VPAD sooner.

This looks awesome, I have tried using PS3 controller, everything works but the analogue sticks mentioned in previous posts.
They are mixed up, some right stick functions are mapped to the left and there seem to be deadzone issues.
I recommend using black ops 2 to test the games as it uses every button and sticks. I've tried the 0.2 version and the issue is still there.
Maschell mentioned in a previous post he "fixed the issue weeks ago", I hope he can release it soon.

best of luck to him

Ok so I tried this... How does this work?

I tried the following things:
I start the HID to VPAD app.
I plugin the PS3 controller via USB. I either wait 15 seconds or I press A.
Then it doesn't work. I tried the same thing with plugging it in before the Wii U starts.

I also tried it with the Mayflash N64 controller adapter. That doesn't work either.
Can anyone help me out?

Thanks.

Sorry if this has been asked before but would it be possible to use a 3DS as a controller?
Would be great for Mario Kart 8! :)

Edit: It's natively doable in Sm4sh so that might be that entry point. To send fake signals to the 3DS, telling it that Sm4sh as currently running on the Wii U or something like that?

Someone doesnt know what an HID device is ...

I know it my friend. :)
But since even Xinput devices like Xbox controllers are usable this thread isn't about "only HID devices" any longer. Or to be more specific: It's also about solutions on how to turn non HID devices into emulated HID devices even if that means that a server application has to be run (like it's the case with Xbox controllers).

Well, a homebrew has to be made to be compatible with wireless, like indeed your Wii U's IP. Also the controller has to emulate the GamePad, since like the HID to VPAD has to emulate the GamePad because the Wii U needs it.
Actually this homebrew could be modified to add support for wireless controllers! It's up to the creator of this ^^

xbox uses xinput wich is a difrent hid cove but its still some sort of wired code, the 3ds besides not being anything per say doesnt even have a wired option, its pure wireless code and ssb4 probably has an entire cios code to "hack" the 3ds signals and use them for the game itself, its not as simple as to add another controller hid and xinput arent that diferent compared to wireless and ios hacks.
