I still get kernel panics on 5.05, but not many of them, so they'll probably always be that problem. the exploits use race attacks, which is it trying to flush code into memory as quickly as possible: when the webkit portion fails, you get a memory error; if the kernel portion fails, you get a kernel panic. it's like the early wii u hacks, which were also race attacks. though, then, I don't think the system crashed, but a lot of the time, it was recommended to reset the system if that happened. they were also through the browser. some people claimed that opening and closing the curtain made it less likely to fail similar to how some things are believed to make it less prevalent on the ps4. either way, I don't think either made/makes a difference really as it's probably just a coincidence. I once had about 25 successes, then got a kernel panic. and, I always hold my breath or just about every time I deploy hen, praying that I don't get a kernel panic. before goldhen, I would use the ftp payload in order to dump dlc/themes. that always worked after a successful hen, even deploying it about 14 times in a row. however, goldhen makes it a cinch now.
