I am just wishing good luck GEESH
that's not my point. he wanted help. if you are not giving help, then don't give a "good luck" because it's not motivational at all.
and you've just posted another "useless" offtopic reply trying to say something to me, not to give help. if you need to say something like this, then there is something called PM.

@ valyr

if you need help from me in any way, just ask, and i'll do what I can.

so where is the text located?
i'll check myself.
first of all, check if there is an overlay folder, if there are any files in the folder, check inside for overlay files, and look if there are any texts in the overlay files. this is important for pointers. the pointers possibly can be located in the arm9.bin.

text is dotted all over the place mostly in the scripts folder and the serene folder, theres also some in both arc files in the bui folder, the arm9.bin and eos_data.arc file in the flash folder that all that i know of so far
Im not worried about the scripts folder yet, the serene folder contains itemdata monster names and battle txt
The bui folder is most of the menu messages and the arm9 seems to be place/character names and status stuff
and some other bits
also there are no overlay files at all

possibly but im not sure how to go about finding them even after reading everything i could find about pointers on romhacking.net
Acually there are games which do not have pointers and pointers do not look alike in every game.

well this is what Darthnemesis told me when I tried doing the toi trans.
1. Pick an item name to search for - アップルグミ
2. Find the address where it's stored - 0x088A2C
3. Reverse the bytes of the address - 2C8A08
4. Find the address where that's stored - 0x07492C
but the item name was actually in the arm9.bin.
If you have checked the arc file with the menu but there was no separate pointers, go check the arm9.bin.

Edit
I've just checked the script files. I've found stuff in the txt files, but not in the other files. i think it uses compressed texts,

I feel bad for not being able to help you guys out... =(

ivanthegreat:
Come on man!
1) They don't need to be reminded to release a patch.
2) If you post something like that, try to add some sort of thank you or encouragement.
3) You aren't the one devoting time and effort into something that you get for free, so I would suggest shutting up and waiting.

@ ivanthegreat

a patch will be released when i think its ready, theres still a lot to do yet even just for a menu translation

still to do:
finish the graphics
finish monster names
item names and descriptions
other miscelaneous text
battle text

So is a menu patch JUST the menu's in the game,or does it include battle text as well?

Also,I wish you the best of luck with this translation,i've been wanting to play this for a while now.

Glad to be of assistance, I thought noone was interested in this game, so I just on what I could manage hope the information as helped if you require any further help just let me know

Awesome!! Thanks for the hard work you guys!
Haven't found any bugs yet.

I've only been playing for about 10 minutes so I haven't seen the full extent of the patch.

But what does this patch cover? Just the menus?

Thanks again.
