Okay so I just did ntrboothax with my r4i-sdhc dual-core 2017 and it worked perfectly, so now I'm in the process of doing boot9strap. However, when I try to load the safeboot9strap installer by holding down the buttons with the magnet it won't come up?? I tried once and it worked fine, but I cancelled it by mistake. Any help? (Also, my R4 won't come up in the game options, but I tried with Mario Kart 7 and that was readable so that might be the issue?)

If you got it to work once, then it should work again. Keep trying. It can be finicky.

the thing is, ive been trying for the past hour. its not coming up, i hold the buttons for about 8 seconds and the 3DS keeps shutting off?

You need the boot.firm and boot
Firm.sha if on tbe n3ds you'll need secret sector in the boot9strap folder. It took me a while to see why it wasn't working lol.

Did you press the key sequence correctly (left right up down A)?
