Can you tell me where you got these "payload 1 and 2 .bins". I don't know what those are, I need more info from you. But I suspect those were the ones supposed to be in "/files9".

No, those were meant to go in "/a9lh" folder, but eitherway they were not in the right place. Not the best files to mis-place as those are the a9lh install files.

This is correct, the path was changed to "/a9lh" at some point, apperently. Still, seems like some files were misplaced into "/luma/payloads".

i got to the web browser part and got into the luma installer, then it said firm0 was the wrong size

Ok, yeah. It was not able to find the payload, because it was supposed to be placed in "/a9lh", not "/luma/payloads", and then it crashed when running SafeA9LHInstaller. You said you managed to get it into the recovery menu when you pressed a+l+r+dpad up?

If you can not boot into recovery mode (if you can, dont update)and booting without the SD also doesnt work, it looks like you're bricked. If you have made a nand backup i would send it to a hardmodder.

Your only option is to pay someone to hardmode9 it for you at this point as recovery mode WILL NOT WORK.

Here is a thread of trusted hardmodders on the forum: https://gbatemp.net/threads/list-of-hardmod-installers-by-region.414224/

You will need to have and save the following file sd:/files9/NANDmin.bin, this is necessary to fix the system.

This will not be a cheap mistake, good luck.
