I bricked an O3DS upgrading from 4.2 to 9.2 using sysupdater. It shouldn't happen but sometimes you just have bad luck. If recovery mode does not work you are SOL. Downgrading from 10.7 means you/he does not have a NAND backup so a hardmod will not do any good.

@zerox521 Last thing to try with your battery and SD in and the 3DS off hold L+R+UP+A and press the power button and keep holding L+R+UP+A for roughly 30 seconds does a System Update menu pop up?

Well, it didn't work, i tried at least 3 times and nothing. I was wondering, does the imput order really matters? Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

Hold L+R+A+UP and press the power button and keep holding L+R+A+UP but let go of the power button and hold it for 30 seconds do you get a system update menu.

You should be pressing them all at the same time before you turn on the power, and then continue holding them all at the same time. So there is no input order.

You may have to hit the power button with your nose.

If that doesn't work, it's bricked. You need a hard mod.

Well, looks like hardmod it is then, I just hope that his kid at least had made a Nand copy before downgrading. Hahaha, nah, it was my friend's fault for letting his kid do it even after I warned him several times.

No point of a hardmod. You can't make a nand backup on 10.7 unless he dumped it with a hardmod before downgrading which it sounds like he didn't.

I'm putting money on old yt vid as I'm pretty sure at this point all the downgraders do recovery first to stop this type of crap
