I'm pretty sure boot2 come out with 4.2?

If not, at least 4.3, and you have previously updated to that so you'll have boot2. Seeing as you can run the HBC, I suggest installing BootMii again (as boot if possible), incase something worse happens.

Hmmm, dump error in DOP-Mii. Only other thing I can suggest is getting the SM and SM IOS from NUS and using various installers (WAD Manager (it's up to 1.7 now), MMM) to install them.

Post again if you're unsure which version IOSes to get.
Boot2v4 was part of the 4.2 update (and the 4.1 update on Super Mario Galaxy). Dop-Mii v14 and over have all been unstable, so use MMM v13.4 or Dop-Mii v13. WiiMod always freezes when I try it (haven't tried the newest release though), but it seems to work for everyone else so I guess that is an option.

That's it, sorry.

So, SM 4.2 uses IOS70. That would be, Database -> IOS -> 0000000100000046 IOS70 -> v6687, and have "Pack WAD" ticked. They are directions for NUS Downloader.

Hopefully installing this will help out.

if he updated to 4.3 then back to 4.2 properly (by properly I mean he also installed a non-stubbed IOS80/70 respectively) then installing a fresh system menu or system menu IOS for the 3rd time isn't likely to make a difference. Typically buggy system menu's are fixed by reinstalling the sm and\or sm ios, but assuming I understand what LightyKD's sayin, he's done that twice already and it's still not working. If this is indeed the case, it might be time to begin to consider using comex's nand formatter or ohneswanzenegger

He has v16687, which looks like to be maxed out by a previous DARKCORP/cIOSCORP.

I'm not sure how he downgraded but simply trying to say that a fresh install of both the SM and it's IOS could help (not claiming it will solve his problems).

If it isn't that Dop-Mii sys check problem, i would like somebody to rule out a drive problem. Ok, both seem unlikely to me, because both would prevent booting HBC, but i don't know what else it could be. Or maybe all channels are from the wrong region? Hmm, still wouldn't explain disc channel to fail...

Maxed out would be version 65535. This line:
IOS70 (rev 16687): Trucha Bug NAND Access
tells that it is IOS70 from cioscorp/darkcorp, because on a clean IOS70 it had to say "No Patches ".

The extra 1 means it's IOS70 from ModMii, not DarkCorp. Well technically it's IOS60, but that's not relevant.

Regardless, it still was probably installed by DARKCORP/cIOSCORP. And by "maxed out" I meant it has been set to a higher version of the highest official so it is not stubbed by the official install.

I remember Da_Letter_A saying this, and yes, it is actually IOS60 is slot 70. (And so is IOS80 with the latest DARKCORP)

Again, I reiterate, it probably isn't a clean IOS70 and installing a clean one is likely to help.

EDIT: Sorry. I thought he said he had uninstalled DARKCORP (Meaning he had it installed previously). I haven't used ModMii but if JoostinOnline is right about it being an IOS60 in slot 70, it was probably extracted for a DARKCORP Wii.

The patched system menu IOS he currently has installed is from ModMii. It's patched with 3 major patches (FS-ES-NP), but unlike darkcorp's IOSs it does not include an extra module (I think it's a dip module). Anyways, I don't think having a patched system IOS is the problem, not unless he's got a modchip and the patches are interfering with it somehow (I really don't know much about modchips).

There's no harm in trying to install a clean system menu IOS, but I highly doubt it will make a difference.

OK I'm back.

1) U reinstalled my 4.2U NAND with bootmii this morning. This is the nand that Ive been using as a default position since this situation has started. In other words, when I first spotted the issue, I installed this NAND and found out that the issue was STILL there. It's from holiday 2010 so the latest games played were Black Ops, Sonic Colors, Epic Mickey and 007 (around November ish). This NAND also has the latest version of DarkCorp INSTALLED. so at leats this way you can get an idea of what IOS files are installed.

2) I tried doing a syscheck again (not with dopmii but with the app named syscheck) and both apps stopped at "checking IOS 57 vulnerabilities". I was however able to get the following information...

Region: NTSC-U
System Menu v481 running under IOS58 (rev 5918)
Hollywood v0x11
Console ID: 73107271
Boot2 v3

3) I uploaded a Youtube video showing the problem...

4) I do have the "Any Title Deleter" app so if anyone needs a listing of the 200+ titles I guess I can ake the time to type it down. I can also see whis IOS files I have installed but it doesnt show me version numbers for those IOS files

5) I'm uploading my NAND file on 4Shared right now. I will post the NAND file as soon as the upload is done. Hopefully this will really help.

technically you can't post a link to your nand dump. When its done uploading, just make a post telling anyone who wants to download it to PM you for the link (technically this isn't legal either, but at least gbatemp won't remove your post). Also, I don't plan on actually downloading it personally, but maybe send joostin a PM with the link. Either he downloads it and it helps, or he gets annoyed at the PM... for me its a win-win situation, lol

K, I just finished downloading and extracting it. I took a screenshot of ShowMiiNand (actually it's two, but I put them together so you can see it all at once) and uploaded it. That way everyone can see what he has on his Wii without dling a huge file:

So, this NAND is from before you installed MDK2? And you still have the problem?

Wow...

Exactly!

That's my major issue. Go and watch my YouTube video that I posted a few post ago, if you want a visual idea of the problem. This is why I'm wondering if the issue is separate of the ios files. Also, I have another question. Does a disconnected disc drive give off the same type of error. The ribbon cable connected between the drive and motherboard is connected by tape (due to an incident a few months ago while replacing the lens. Would that cable be the problem? I havent moved the Wii in weeks so I cant see it being an issue but who knows. The drive is taking in disc like normal so yeah, it's all confusing.

You could have mentioned that earlier.

OK I'm grabbing the app but what would you like for me to do with it?
