basically it uses the local wireless network to download the image from the wii to your laptop.

This does not affect your 'internet' traffic as its all internal data transfer and sends from your wii to your router to your laptop.
Going on the internet takes up a tiny bit of bandwidth which should be practically unnoticable to you while your getting the ISO from the wii.

Best thing to do is to try it and see but it wont make much difference.

Clarky , your seriously on the ball with helping people here - well done.

haha am on a mission my man

Ok, so I put the game disc in my wii, and I have the disc I want it copied on in one of the disc drives, run the dumper, then go to the IP address homepage thing?

yer put the disc in the drive, run the app

select single or dual layer, right now i think SSBB is one of the few dual layer discs

it will give you the address to put in your browser and then when you open the webpage you have 3 options

single layer iso
dual layer iso
reboot wii

click which ever you chose and your browser will download the .iso file for you. you can then burn the .iso with any DVD Writing program i suggest ImgBurn its free just google it.

i think you was under the assumption that it will just burn it straight away for you, this is not the case it simply puts the .iso onto your pc so your free to do with it as you will.

tip -- use firefox..IE can be abit bitchy with large files.

Ie 6 works ok i think
Firefox is good
chrome works ok as well

IE 7 remind me of an ex of mine - pretty little thing but jesus was she a little bitch when she didnt want to do something.

Ok, it says the DVD disc type is Gamecube disc (GOD). Is it supposed to say that? I'm copying Guitar Hero 3 for Wii just so you know.

it wont of done no harm i dnt think mate.
I can't restart or power it off, should I unplug it?

Ok, thanks guys. When I insert the disc into my computer it asks to format to a UDF thing? And it says that if you don't it may appear in explorer or something.

ok you dont need to put the disc in until its finished the dump to your pc mate.

just run the app, open the webpage and let the .iso file download..

lil note..it can take a WHILE lol but it will show how long usually 1-2hrs depends on your network and stuff but once its finished come back and we'll see if we cant wrap this up for ya mate..

EDIT -- Damn u TAZZZ lmaooo 4.7gb is single layer btw.
